The UN Ocean Conference which will take place from 26 June to 1 July, in Lisbon, Portugal, is designed to provide a space for the international community to push for safeguards to restore ocean health and protect the ocean from the impacts of the climate crisis and other threats, including emerging threats like deep sea mining . This year’s event comes at a critical time and hopes to propel science-based innovative solutions towards ocean action.
